Turning Design into Reality
Transforming projects from plans and ideas to beautiful outdoor spaces

Planting
Planting is Hugh's forte and the right planting really has the most significant impact on the success of a garden design.
The art is combining structure, form and colour to create a cohesive scheme that offers something of interest at all times of year.  For larger scale projects taking place as part of a wider garden design, a planting plan is usually essential in order to ensure a successful outcome, though for smaller projects it is often possible to plant on a more ad hoc basis.
Hard & Soft Landscaping
Turning a paper design into a real garden requires a number of different stages.  From the site preparation and initial groundworks to the installation of hard landscaping (paving, walls, trellis and any other 'hard' features) and soft landscaping (comprising planting bed preparation, lawn areas and any container planting), we undertake and manage the completion of all this work in order to bring a project to fruition.
Project Oversight
For larger or more complex projects, or where clients want to completely hand over control of realising their project to an experienced third party, Hugh offers a personalised project oversight service.  This removes much of the stress of having work undertaken and can often reduce overall job costs as common challenges encountered as part of the build process can be dealt with before they become a problem.
Garden Lighting
Garden lighting is an often under-considered aspect to a garden that can hugely enhance clients' use of their outdoor space at all times of year.  With an effectively designed lighting scheme, your garden will no longer be somewhere that only looks attractive and welcoming during the daytime when you are outside and within it - it can look good at night and at all times of year, and also from the comfort of indoors!  Our team can design, supply and install a lighting scheme to suit any scale and budget.
Water Features
Water adds significantly to a garden in terms of sound, visual interest and movement.  Hugh likes to use water in his designs where possible, as water makes a garden so much more interesting and engaging.  Whatever the scale of the project, there is a water feature to suit for every taste and budget.
Irrigation
Where practicable, we strongly recommend installing irrigation in order to allow your new plants to thrive and also reduce any time spent watering. Whatever the project size we regularly install professional-grade automated drip-line and sprinkler irrigation systems with easy to use functions to allow for hassle-free operation, giving you peace of mind that your plants getting everything they need during the growing season, and giving you more time to simply enjoy your garden.
